A Break from the Storms to End the Week

By Ed Greene

DENVER (CBS4) - Temperatures were still a little below normal, only reaching the 82 degrees - and that is still 6 degrees below normal. However the numerous storms we saw on Thursday - with strong, damaging winds, heavy rains and hail with thunder and lightning - were absent on Friday. Just scattered to isolated storms formed, didn't last long, and without a single severe weather warning all afternoon.

Saturday could see a few more storms, but still scattered with a high in the low 80s. Storms could be more widespread on Sunday with a high only around 80. As we start next we, we push into the mid 80s on Monday...and again with those scattered late day storms. More storms and mid 80s for Tuesday. Then we will begin to see a drying trend with a lack of storms, more sunshine and therefore warmer temperatures - even warming to about normal for this time or year...and then even above normal by the end of next week!
