Snow in the High Country, Maybe a Shower or Storm for Denver

By Ed Greene

DENVER (CBS4) - A downslope push from the approaching cold front warmed Denver's high temperature to 88 degrees on Friday! The front will bring the chance of a few scattered showers or storms to the greater metro area and eastern plains overnight, then skies will clear. Our mountains will get some light snow with a Winter Weather Advisory posted for the northern mountains for 2 to 5" of new snow.

Look for skies to become mostly sunny on Saturday but with a high about 20 degrees cooler than Friday's - we'll only make it into the upper 60s. Sunday will be even cooler - a high only in the low 60s - but we'll keep skies mostly sunny.

Then as we look ahead to next week expect some pleasant fall weather: Mostly sunny Monday, high in the low 70s; Mostly sunny Tuesday, high in the mid 70s; sunshine stays around for Wednesday with a high nearing 80!
