Isolated Storms Possible Thursday Before Warm Up

By Lauren Whitney
DENVER (CBS4) - Storms possible well into Wednesday night, some of which could be severe. Storms on the eastern plains have already been severe on Wednesday, some have produced ping pong ball sized hail. A Tornado Warning was in place for areas near Akron.

Storms will clear into Thursday morning, with a few clouds possible out on the eastern plains. More sunshine Thursday, with temperatures on the rise. We'll be in the upper 80s with the chance for isolated severe storms across the Front Range and plains. If you do get a storm, watch for larger hail and heavy rain.

After that, a ridge of high pressure moves over Colorado and will dry us out and bring us much warmer temperatures. We'll be in the low to mid 90s starting on Friday, and we'll stay there all weekend! Get ready for a major warm up!
