Weak Cold Front Will Change Weekend

By Dave Aguilera

DENVER (CBS4) -  A weekend cold front is chugging toward Colorado. Ahead of this weather change strong Chinook winds managed to blow Denver's high temperature Friday up into the mid 60s! With the high Downtown and at DIA making it to 65 degrees.

The cold front will combine with moisture flowing in from the southwest in the mountains to get snow falling Friday night into Saturday. The northern mountains may see around 3 to 6 inches of snow by the end of the day Saturday.

For the Denver metro area and the eastern plains the cold front should move through on Saturday morning increasing cloud cover and giving our area a slight chance for a few light rain showers. Even with that, it wont last long and there wont be much if any accumulation for the Mile High City area.
