Gusty Winds On Saturday, With Cooler Temperatures

By Lauren Whitney

DENVER (CBS4) - Temperatures are about 10 to 15 degrees cooler today thanks to a cold front that swept through the state on Thursday night. We were a little breezy, but the stronger winds stayed mostly out in western Colorado.

Stronger winds kick up on Saturday, gusting to 35 mph in the Denver area. They will cool us off to the mid 50s in the afternoon. We may see a stray shower on Saturday, but overall we stay very dry for the next several days.

If you are running Denver's Rock n'n Roll Half Marathon on Sunday morning, it will be a cold start to the race. Temperatures overnight into Sunday will be in the low 20s and breezy.

Temperatures warm back up to the mid 60s by Sunday afternoon. It will be chilly for the Broncos game, I'd bring a jacket and a few layers if you're heading to the game!

Next week looks tranquil with sunny skies and highs in the 70s most days.
