Scattered Showers and Storms Each Day Into the Weekend

By Ed Greene

DENVER (CBS4) - Showers and storms were found mainly over central Colorado on Monday and those to the south of the metro area were the heaviest with Flood and Flash Flood Watches hoisted for portions of El Paso and surrounding counties. Some areas saw rains that came on quickly and dropped several inches of rain causing all sorts of flooding problems. On top of that, some areas saw those heavy rains followed by hail!

Denver reached 84 degrees officially at the airport and 83 downtown, before a storm moved though and cooled highs by 10 to 15 degrees. Tuesday might see more of the same as the high reached back into the lower 80s. In fact, as we look ahead to the rest of the week, not much change: chance for late day storms each day with highs in the low 80s Wednesday and Thursday and into the mid 80s for Friday and Saturday.
