Colder Temperatures On The Way

By Lauren Whitney

DENVER (CBS4) -

After a big drop in our temperatures yesterday and a very chilly morning, we did rebound back to the low 50s on Tuesday. Lots of sunshine state wide, with just a few clouds in the Denver area.

A northerly flow will transport cloud cover from Wyoming and Montana into Colorado on Wednesday causing a drop in temperatures, meaning we're heading back down to the mid to upper 30s. We'll also get windy again on Wednesday as a small storm within the flow moves in our direction. That storm will arrive on Thursday and will bring at least a 50% chance for snow to the mountains and 20% chance for snow to lower elevations. If we happen to get snow in the metro area, don't expect much for us. Just a little bit of flurry action or a dusting.

Drier and warmer weather returns on Friday when we head back to the 50s. It will still be windy around Colorado.

On Sunday we expect mostly sunny skies and temperatures mainly in the 50s for the Broncos game. Hopefully this means a Broncos win!
