Freeze Warning Tonight...Then a Pleasant Warm-up

By Ed Greene

DENVER (CBS4) - After spotty showers along the Front Range and 1-4 inches of mountain snow overnight, even a few sprinkles in Denver, Wednesday saw mostly sunny skies, but with a cooler airmass the high only reached 61 degrees at the airport and just 59 degrees downtown. With the cool air in place and skies remaining clear, a Freeze Warning has been issued for most of the front range- including the Denver Metro area the Grand Valley out in the west, with a Frost Advisory for the eastern counties of Yuma, Kit Carson and Cheyenne.

Another cool day on tap for Thursday, but the sunshine stays with us - look for a high in the lower 60s. Then for Friday we start to warm things up - sunny skies and a high about ten degrees warmer - in the low 70s. fine looking weekend coming our way with highs both Saturday and Sunday in the mid to upper 70s with abundant sunshine. Monday will be fair and mild with a high in the low 70s. For Kick-off of Monday Night Football as the Broncos take on the Texans - we should see fair conditions and a temperature in the 60s!
