Warm Up Begins After Snow & Freezing Temperatures
DENVER (CBS4) - After a snowy and cold Monday, we returned to sunshine and warmer temperatures on Tuesday. Monday's snow turned out to be a record breaker, DIA officially saw 2.8 inches. The old record was 1.2 inches on October 9, 1890. It was also the first hard freeze of the season for the Denver area, we dropped to 28 degrees in Denver.
All sunshine after the storm cleared, with highs improving from the 30s we saw on Monday.
We get even warmer on Wednesday, close to the 70s. We'll get into the 70s on Thursday, which will be our warmest day of the week. After that, a system passes to the north of Colorado, knocking down our temperatures back to the low 60s and upper 50s. We should still say dry, with a few isolated showers possible on Saturday night. Most precipitation should stay in the high country.
