More Heat Before Gradual Cool Down

By Lauren Whitney

DENVER (CBS4) -Whew, did we have a hot weekend here in Colorado. We hit 92 degrees on Saturday, and 90 degrees on Sunday. We were still hot today with 88 degrees, but we didn't make it to the low 90s.

There have been plenty of storms across Colorado, with plenty of lightning and pockets of heavy rain. We have the first Broncos game of the season tonight at 8:20, we can't rule out the possibility of a few storms to roll through during the early part of the game.

There is a very slight chance for rain on Tuesday, mainly in the high country. After that, storm chances ramp up again on Wednesday and Thursday. Temperatures drop to the mid 80s by the middle of the week, and then we'll head down to the upper 70s by Saturday.
