Warming Up, But With Gusty Winds

By Lauren Whitney

DENVER (CBS4) -

Skies cleared after a very cloudy morning across Colorado. Highs were still well below average, in the low 50s making for a cool Halloween evening.

Now we begin a warming trend across the state. On Wednesday, we soar back to the 70s but you may want to stay inside despite the nice temperatures. Winds are going to be awful tomorrow, in fact could top over 75 mph in the foothills.

The foothills and mountains east of Vail Pass are under a High Wind Warning from late Tuesday night through Wednesday evening for gusts as strong as 75 mph (hurricane force starts at 74 mph).

After that, we mellow down and temperature drop a bit to the mid 60s and sunshine.
