Few Isolated Afternoon Storms, Otherwise Nice & Mild

By Chris Spears

DENVER (CBS4) - The first weekend of May will be nice and mild statewide thanks to a big ridge of high pressure moving into the central Rockies.

There will be occasional cloud cover and there's a slim chance for a few of those brief pop-up afternoon showers and thunderstorms, but most of you will stay dry.

The best chance for an afternoon shower or storm will be over the mountains and foothills.

Temperatures will run above normal through the weekend and into next week.

Looking ahead our next chance for any type of widespread wet weather looks like it may enter the forecast by next weekend.
