Calmer Winds With Warmer Temperatures

By Lauren Whitney

DENVER (CBS4) -

Wicked winds all day in Colorado, thanks to the system that brought us a little snow on Thursday. They did help warm up our temperatures to the 50s once again.

Winds die down overnight into Saturday, and temperatures will head back into the low 60s. We'll stay in the 60s through the weekend in the Denver area which is 15 degrees above normal for the second weekend in December.

No additional snow is expected in the mountains but most areas along and north of the I-70 corridor saw 2-4 inches of snow Thursday night.

Looking ahead to next week we'll have continued dry and relatively mild weather. Still no big storms on the horizon!
