More 90s, Cool Down Comes Soon
DENVER (CBS4) -
Monday the heat continued in full force. It was our eighth day in a row we've had temperatures in the 90s! That's unprecedented in September in Denver. The record is 7 days which occurred in 1978 and 2013. And both of those streaks were during the first week of the month so it's worth nothing our current streak didn't start until September 10.
We should hit at least 90 on Tuesday, which would make it our ninth day in a row of the 90s. The overwhelming majority of people I've heard from are all ready for some cooler temperatures.
We'll get there soon. On Wednesday, we drop to the upper 80s with an isolated chance for some storms in Denver. We'll cool off to the upper 80s, but the real cool down will come on Thursday when we finally head down to the low 80 and upper 70s. Whew!
