Large Police Response To Crash, Possible Connection To Other Case

DENVER (CBS4) - Numerous police units and investigators arrived on the scene of a car crash in Denver early Wednesday morning.

Shortly before 5 a.m., a white van crashed into a black sedan then hit another car parked in front of it at West Mississippi Avenue and South Pecos Street.

Denver police remained on scene for several hours, carefully collecting evidence from the van. The crime scene unit was also in the area. Littleton police originally responded and were overseeing the case, implying there may be a connection to a case in Littleton.

One neighbor said he was awoken by the crash, and saw people running away.

"It seemed like they weren't too sure whether to run or stay, like maybe there was something in the car, something they wanted to grab," said Joseph Rodriguez.

The van was towed away by 6:30 a.m. and that section of Pecos reopened.
