Lance Armstrong Riding Ride The Rockies Stage

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (AP) — Lance Armstrong is joining cyclists on the second leg of the 30th annual Ride the Rockies in western Colorado.

Armstrong tweeted that Monday's route from Grand Junction to Hotchkiss over Grand Mesa looked "epic". He said he's riding with friend Tim League, the founder of the Austin, Texas-based Alamo Drafthouse Cinema.

Armstrong, who was stripped of his seven Tour de France titles over doping, is a part-time resident of Aspen, Colorado. On Sunday he participated in Aspen's GrandFondo to raise money for the organization hosting the city's stage of the USA Pro Challenge.
