Lakewood Sexual Assault Victim Used Pink Colored Mace On Suspect

LAKEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4) - Police in Lakewood are investigating a sexual assault that occurred Sunday afternoon.

According to Sgt. Randy McNitt, the attack happened near the south service road of West 6th Avenue and Arbutus Street at approximately 3:30 p.m.

"The victim was walking along the road when she reported being dragged down a small hill into an adjacent grassy area," McNitt said in a statement. "During the assault, the victim sprayed the suspect with pink colored mace that may leave a stain, and also may have scratched the suspect on the face."

The suspect is described as a white male in his late 20s or early 30s, about 6 feet tall or 6-foot-1 with a stocky build. He has short, possibly blonde hair, and has no facial hair. He was wearing a black zip-up hoodie and white running shoes.
