Suspect Killed In Lakewood Police Officer-Involved Shooting

LAKEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4)- A suspect was shot and killed in an officer-involved shooting Thursday night in Lakewood. Officers responded to a criminal mischief call around 3:15 p.m. in the 2400 block of Youngfield Street.
Investigators said a man barricaded himself inside a duplex and eventually set a fire inside. When officers entered the duplex around 5:30 p.m. they observed the suspect was armed.
At one point, an officer opened fire, striking the suspect. The suspect was rushed to the hospital and died.
No officers were hurt in the shooting.
What led up to the shooting is being investigated.
