Police said that a man with a knife was threatening drivers, pedestrians and officers near Harlan and 4th. One 911 caller said they were afraid there may be children in the area as a bus stop was nearby.

Another 911 caller said the suspect moved to 3rd and Depew Street.

When officers arrived, they say the suspect ran from them to Sheridan Boulevard.

A taser was deployed but it did not stop the suspect from coming at officers.

Officials say the man did not comply with their orders. That's when an officer fired his weapon, hitting the suspect.
