Lafayette Police Respond To Assisted Living Center On Reports Of A Shooting
LAFAYETTE, Colo. (CBS4) - Lafayette Police are asking people to stay away from the area of Highway 287 and South Boulder Road. Officers are responding to a shooting at an assisted living center on Waneka Parkway.
One person was shot and taken to the hospital. According to Lafayette PD Deputy Chief Brian Rosipajla, there is no clear indication on injuries.
One suspect, a 70-year-old man, has been taken into custody by police. Roads are closed around the facility, including most of Waneka Parkway near Flatirons Community Church
Please avoid the 200 block of Waneka Pkwy this morning for police activity.

So far, police have not released any reasoning behind the shooting. The investigation is still in the early stages.
