Kubiak Is 6th-Winningest Coach In Broncos History

DENVER (CBS4) - Gary Kubiak is the Broncos sixth winningest coach in team history with Monday's victory over the Houston Texans.

The 27-9 win is Kubiak's 20th with the Broncos, which ties him with former coach Lou Saban (1967-71).

During his time with the team, Saban had a record of 20-42, with no playoff appearances, while Kubiak is now 20-5 over two seasons, including a Super Bowl championship.

Earlier this season, when the Broncos defeated the Indianapolis Colts, Kubiak became the team's seventh winningest coach, passing current defensive coordinator Wade Phillips, who coached the team from 1993 to 1994.

Ahead of Kubiak as the winningest coaches in Broncos history are Mike Shanahan (146), Dan Reeves (117), Red Miller (64), John Fox (49), and John Ralston (34).
