Kreuziger Wins Stage 6 Of USA Pro; Dennis Keeps Overall Lead

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) — Roman Kreuziger survived an early breakaway to win Stage 6 of the USA Pro Challenge on Saturday, while Rohan Dennis finished in the main pack to retain his overall lead.

Kreuziger was part of a selection that formed about an hour into the stage, and then was able to sprint past Javier Megias and Leonardo Basso to win the stage.

Dennis was 44 seconds back but remained in the yellow jersey with one stage remaining.

Tayler Wiles won the second stage of the women's USA Pro Challenge, racing clear of a small group over a shortened version of the men's course. Lauren Komanski finished second and Kristin Armstrong, the winner of the opening time trial, was third to keep the overall lead.

The race concludes Sunday with the men riding 68 miles from Golden to Denver, and the women tackling a tight, 1.5-mile circuit through Golden.
