The Noon Year's Eve celebration is a family-friendly version of New Year's Eve complete with a countdown, big glitter ball and confetti.

Instead of fireworks, celebrants stomp on bubble wrap to simulate the popping of pyrotechnics.

"It's an awesome experience for the kids. They were looking forward to coming here all day," said one parent.

The Children's Museum hopes to accommodate more children and parents on New Year's Eve next year once their construction is complete.
