Kids Make Great Sounds At New Music Park

EVERGREEN, Colo. (CBS4)- New sounds drifted through the air on Friday at Evergreen's Stagecoach Park near El Pinal.

The local Rotary Club raised $30,000 to install outdoor instruments.

The ribbon cutting for the park's opening was on Friday morning.

Kay LaMontagne got the idea when she saw a similar park in March.

"And I watched these kids pretend they were in a band and they played for almost an hour. And I came back and I went, Rotary should do this for Evergreen. And that's how we got it," said LaMontagne.

The Rotary donated the instruments to Jefferson County Parks and Recreation but will continue to maintain the park. The instruments were designed by Grammy Award winning musician Richard Cook.
