HOT SULPHUR SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - Grand County authorities say a kayaker who flipped on the Colorado River has been found dead.

Sheriff Rod Johnson says the kayaker, whose name and age have not been released, flipped in the Gore Canyon Rapids at about 7:30 p.m. Saturday. She made it to shore and was last seen trying to climb up a cliff-like bank.

The victim's body was found early Sunday morning, but the sheriff did not say if she died on land or in the water. No other details have been released.
