Man Convicted Of Killing Girlfriend Gets Life In Prison

BRIGHTON, Colo. (AP) - A man convicted of killing his girlfriend at a motel in Adams County has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

A judge handed down the punishment for Joshua Thomas Bohl in Brighton on Wednesday.

In November, jurors convicted him of a first-degree murder in the death of 29-year-old Jayme Hosier.

Prosecutors say he killed Hosier and left her body while he went to stay with his ex-girlfriend in Fort Lupton. He called police two days later claiming that Hosier was killed when a television set fell on her face.

The coroner concluded that Hosier died of asphyxia due to blunt-force trauma to the neck.
