Jefferson County Will Distribute New Federal Money To Cities

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - Jefferson County gets a big boost of federal money. The CARES Act granted the county more than $101 million.

Commissioner Lesley Dahlkemper says, "The distribution of the CARES Act dollars strikes the right balance to ensure our cities and our county have funding to help businesses re-open."

The CARES Act requires the money only to be spent on expenses directly related to the pandemic and not to be used to offset lost revenue.
