Jeb Bush Visits Veterans In Colorado Springs
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4)- Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush visited veterans in Colorado Springs on Tuesday before traveling to Denver.
Bush talked to a group of veterans at a diner in Colorado Springs Tuesday morning.
Bush was in Colorado on Tuesday as part of his Right to Rise initiative, which raises money for GOP leaders in battleground states.
Bush said if he runs, he'll lay out foreign policy views that make clear, as he put it, that "our friends know that we have their back and our enemies fear us a little bit."
He also discussed why he checked a box identifying himself as Hispanic on a voter registration form in 2009.
"I am who I am. I'm proud of the fact that I live in Florida, you know in Miami. I'm proud of the fact that I'm bilingual but I'm certainly Anglo. I'm not sure what the big deal is," said Bush.
Bush then traveled to Denver where he attended an energy policy town hall event at the Brown Palace.
Republicans narrowly lost Colorado in the 2012 presidential election.
