Jeb Bush To Lead Rally For Colorado GOP Candidates

CASTLE ROCK, Colo. (AP) — Republicans are sending another big name to help the Colorado GOP in next week's election.

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, a potential 2016 presidential candidate, will headline a voting rally for state Republican candidates Wednesday at 5 p.m. in Castle Rock. Senate candidate Cory Gardner and gubernatorial candidate Bob Beauprez are among the candidates expected to join him at the Douglas County Fairgrounds.

In recent days, former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton and first lady Michelle Obama have campaigned for Colorado Democratic candidates, including Sen. Mark Udall.

Republicans are hoping Gardner can topple Udall to help take control of the Senate.

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie will be back in Colorado to campaign for Beauprez on Thursday, his fourth visit of the campaign.
