Murray Named Western Conference Rookie Of The Month

DENVER (The Sports Xchange) - Denver Nuggets' guard Jamal Murray, who is second in scoring average among rookies, was named Western Conference Rookie of the Month.

Murray went 0 of 16 from the field in the first four games of the season but steadily improved and caught fire around Thanksgiving with three straight games of 20 or more points. The seventh overall pick out of Kentucky last June, Murray is shooting 41.6 percent from 3-point range.
