12 People Hospitalized In Chain-Reaction Crash On NB I-25 Near Castle Pines
DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - Traffic is moving again on northbound Interstate 25 after multiple vehicles were involved in a crash Thursday night. Investigators with the Colorado State Patrol are calling this a chain-reaction crash involving at least 11 vehicles.
Officials with South Metro Fire Rescue confirm at least 12 people were taken to the hospital.
The crash happened in the northbound lanes of I-25 between Castle Pines and Ridgegate. Several lanes are back open, but there are significant delays in the area.

Crews with South Metro Fire Rescue are evaluating the scene. At least one person suffered serious injuries. The other injuries are believed to be minor.

The Colorado State Patrol is investigating the crashes and said weather most likely played a role. CDOT officials are asking drivers to slow down and leave extra room between vehicles.

There is no estimate on when all lanes will be reopen. Drivers are urged to take an alternate route.
