DENVER (CBS4)- An inmate will be disciplined after he allegedly assaulted the Aurora theater gunman in prison.

Mark Daniels will be charged with assault after he allegedly assaulted James Holmes and a correctional officer. The charges will be addressed internally with a hearing inside the prison.

The assault allegedly happened at the Colorado State Penitentiary on Oct. 8. Apparently Daniels lunged at Holmes and took a few swings at him when inmates were passing each other in a hallway.
