Inmate Dies At Rio Blanco County Jail; Suicide Suspected
MEEKER, Colo. (AP) — An investigation is underway after a 55-year-old inmate was found dead in her cell at the Rio Blanco County jail.
The sheriff's office says the inmate, whose name has not been released, was found dead of an apparent suicide Monday afternoon. She was booked into the jail Friday on a charge of violating a protection order.
The Colorado Bureau of Investigation and the Rio Blanco County coroner are investigating.
No other information has been released.
