7th Illegal Pot Grow Operation Found In Southern Colorado In Past Week

PUEBLO, Colo. (CBS4) - Another illegal marijuana grow operation has been found in southern Colorado, making it the seventh in the past week.

Police got a tip about the pot and carried out a search warrant. They found nearly 200 plants inside a home just south of Pueblo.

Officers confiscated the drugs along with lighting equipment and planting supplies. There was also construction equipment which investigators think was going to be used to expand the operation.

Pueblo County Undersheriff J.R. Hall says people are moving to Colorado to take advantage of the legal pot laws.

"These are the people we know about. The people we don't know about are alarming to me. Why are they here? … Maybe it's because they feel it's legal." Hall said.

No arrests have been made.

Police are still investigating if the latest case is related to the others.
