Iguana Shows Up On Boulder Justice Center X-Ray

BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4)- It wasn't a weapon but Boulder County denied entry when the person's bag showed an iguana inside.

The iguana showed up on the Boulder County Justice Center's x-ray machine on Friday. Boulder County quickly tweeted an update reminding people that only service animals are allowed inside the justice center.

Jeffco retweeted the picture with the hashtag #LeaveYourIguanasAtHome.

Boulder County Sheriff Cmdr. Mike Wagner told CBS4, "People are just odd, sometimes."

He said some people carry pets in bags or backpacks and simply forget the animals are inside when they plop them down to be scanned.
