Identity Of Person Found Dead Inside Historic Denver Building Released

DENVER (CBS4) - The identity of the person found dead after a fire in Denver's Five Points neighborhood has been released. A motorcycle missing from the property has been recovered but police continue to search for a missing Subaru.

The coroner's office says the body found by firefighters in a closet was that of 29-year-old Shane Richardson.

Crews found Richardson after putting out the fire early Monday morning in an apartment unit above Rosenberg's Bagels & Delicatessen at Welton Street and 26th Avenue.

The coroner did not say how he died.

The cause of the fire has not been released or is unknown at this time.

Police were looking for two missing vehicles that belonged to Richardson, including a 1997 Subaru Impreza with Colorado license plate 859-ZID. The below picture is the wanted vehicle.

Investigators have recovered a 2012 Ducati Motorcycle with Colorado license plate QTO-128. The below picture is similar to the motorcycle that was recovered.

The building has been known as the Historic Arcade Building and it sustained some smoke and water damage from the fire. Rosenberg's is temporarily closed as a result.
