Idaho State Beats Northern Colorado 46-12

GREELEY, Colo. (AP) — Justin Arias threw two touchdown passes and Daniel McSurdy ran for 236 yards and three scores Saturday and Idaho State beat Northern Colorado 46-12, ending its 47-game road losing streak.

The Bengals (5-3, 3-1 Big Sky) held the Bears to 5 yards rushing in the first half and led 24-0 at halftime. Xavier Finney had a 13-yard TD, McSurdy rushed for a 41-yarder, and Tyler Graves caught a 10-yard score.

Arias was 27 of 45 for 253 yards, Finney had 22 carries and McSurdy had 11 carries for 92 yards.

Jonathan Newsom threw two third-quarter TD passes for the Bears (2-6, 1-4), but the Bengals kept pace with a 21-yard TD pass from Arias to C.J. Hatchett and a 2-yard scoring run by McSurdy, and McSurdy added a 1-yard scoring run in the fourth.

The road win is Idaho State's first since Oct. 7, 2006, also against Northern Colorado in Greeley.
