Idaho Springs Woman Charged With Solicitation Of Murder

IDAHO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — A 20-year-old Idaho Springs woman accused of asking a man to kill her ex-boyfriend has been charged with solicitation of first-degree murder.

District Attorney spokeswoman Jill Sarmo says Haley Stanfield was arrested May 28 after the man she allegedly tried to persuade called police. The man said Stanfield asked him several times to kill her ex-boyfriend, and prosecutors say she drew detailed maps to the intended victim's home and made a diagram of the inside.

Stanfield is being held at the Clear Creek County jail on $50,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled to begin July 2.
