Idaho Springs Woman, Boyfriend Charged In Baby's Death
IDAHO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - An Idaho Springs woman accused of trying to have her boyfriend killed following the death of her infant son is now charged in the boy's death along with the boyfriend.
In grand jury indictments unsealed Monday, prosecutors say that Haley Stanfield shook her 15-month old son Logan Borchik in her home on May 3, 2014, while Joshua Olsen watched. The pair allegedly didn't seek help for the boy over the next three days even though he was not moving around or eating. On May 6, 2014, the boy was taken to the hospital while he was in Olsen's care after he stopped breathing and died a few days later after being taken off life support, according to court documents.
Last year, Stanfield was charged with solicitation of murder for allegedly asking her son's father to kill Olsen. She has pleaded not guilty and is being held in jail awaiting trial in that case in March.

A message left for her lawyer in the murder-solicitation case, Dorothea Reiff, seeking comment on the new allegations wasn't returned Tuesday.
Olsen is in custody out-of-state and will be extradited to Colorado, District Attorney Bruce Brown said. He would not say where Olsen is being held.
Stanfield is accused of trying to have Olsen killed to prevent him from being able to testify against her in the death of her son, Brown said.
Stanfield is charged with two counts of child abuse resulting in death - one for allegedly shaking him and the other for not seeking help - while Olsen is charged with one count. She could face up to 48 years in prison if convicted, while Olsen would face up to 32 years if found guilty.
