Emergency dive team in Aurora rescues a person and a dog who fell in icy water

A person was taken to the hospital on Tuesday night in northern Aurora after they were were seen walking with several dogs next to a body of water and fell into icy water.

That's according to Aurora Fire Rescue, who said it happened at Sand Creek Park, near the intersection of Peoria Street and Fitzsimons Parkway.

The person, an adult, and one of the dogs were rescued by Aurora Fire Rescue's dive team, and the human was described as being in critical condition. The dogs were all okay. 

Sand Creek Park is located near the intersection of Peoria Street and Fitzsimons Parkway. It has two ponds and a creek.

So far there is no word on the age or the identity of the person who was hurt.
