I-70 back open near Fruita after brush fire closure

I-70 closed both directions near Grand Junction for brush fire

Both directions of Interstate 70 were closed at Rabbit Valley near Fruita for a brush fire on Tuesday afternoon. Traffic was being diverted at Mack. The interstate was closed for several hours before it reopened beginning around noon before it was back open around 4 p.m.

Update: 2:58 pm Fire is in mop-up, and expect the interstate to re-open in approximately an hour. Please continue to avoid the area until further notice. pic.twitter.com/E04X27iW8P
