I-25 Traffic Slowed After Motorcycle Crashes, RTD Bus Gets Stuck
DENVER (CBS4) - Traffic was slowed Thursday morning when a motorcycle crashed on Interstate 25 south of Denver.
It happened at approximately 6 a.m. in the northbound lanes of I-25 near the County Line Road exit.
A witnesses said the motorcyclist was down in the middle of the interstate, and traffic was at a complete standstill as of 6:15 a.m. for the northbound lanes of travel.
An RTD bus being directed around the motorcycle crash then got stuck on the median beside the highway when trying to cross it.
Another RTD bus arrived on scene at approximately 6:30 a.m. to take passengers from the original RTD bus involved in the crash.
Three lanes reopened as of 6:25 a.m., but by that time traffic backed all the way to I-25 and C-470.
The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital as a precaution but was uninjured. Nobody on the bus was injured.
