People Escape Burning Home, 3 Pets Inside Die In Fire

SECURITY, Colo. (CBS4)- All the people inside a burning home were able to escape but three pets died in the fire. The house fire happened Tuesday afternoon in Security in El Paso County.

When firefighters arrived on scene, the garage was fully engulfed in flames. Before crews arrived, neighbors tried to extinguish the flames with garden hoses.

No people were hurt in the fire, but two dogs and a cat died. One dog was able to escape.
