Hostage Negotiation Van Involved In Crash While Responding To A Call

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (CBS4) - A Larimer County Sheriff's Office Hostage/Crisis Negotiation Unit van responding to a call was involved in an accident Sunday morning.

According to Kate Kimble with Fort Collins Police Services, the crash occurred just after 7 a.m. at Horsetooth Road and College Avenue.

Kimble said the van was traveling with active lights and sirens to an emergency call when it collided with a PT Cruiser traveling southbound on College Avenue driven by 24-year-old Kathryn Bradley.

Both drivers were transported to Poudre Valley Hospital with minor injuries," Kimble said in a statement.

Roads in the area had to be closed for approximately five hours for the investigation.

Drugs and alcohol do not appear to be a factor in the crash.
