Middle School Scientists From Aurora Meet President Obama

DENER (CBS4) - A group of students from a Cherry Creek school got to meet President Obama on Wednesday.

The students were in Washington, D.C. for the White House Science Fair.

Simon, Maya and Greyson go to Horizon Community Middle School in Aurora. They came up with a prosthetic device for wounded veteran Kyle Kelly. The three showed off the gadget to CBS News Chip Reid.

"We want to make it individualized for each specific veteran because Kyle, he used to hike and camp in the mountains," one of the students told Reid.

President Obama has hosted the science fair the past six years.
