Home Surveillance Catches Burglar In The Act In Lakewood

LAKEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4) - Police are searching for a man who repeatedly broke into a home while the family slept.

The break-ins happened at a home near 14th Avenue and Jay Street in Lakewood. The home was equipped with video surveillance.

"When the footage was reviewed it showed a Hispanic male suspect looking into the windows. The suspect then covered his face with a bandana and entered the home," police said in a statement.

The intruder spent at least 20 minutes inside and may have been in and out of the house three separate times over a two-hour period.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to contact Lakewood police.
