Home In Evergreen Fully Engulfed By Fire

EVERGREEN, Colo. (CBS4) - A large home in Evergreen was fully engulfed by fire early Monday morning. It began at approximately 5:30 a.m. at a home on Aspen Drive near Interstate 70.

Both the Evergreen Fire Rescue and Clear Creek County Foothills Fire Department assisted in fighting the flames.

Nearly 15 fire trucks were on scene, most of which carried water due to the lack of hydrants in the area.

The fire was put out and declared under control by 7:15 a.m., though civilians were warned to avoid the area as hot spots were still being addressed. There are no reports of injuries.
