Home A Total Loss Despite Efforts Of 34 Firefighters

STRASBURG, Colo. (CBS4) - A fire broke out at a home in Strasburg on Saturday afternoon around 12:45. Firefighters initially had the flames under control at the house on East 88th Avenue, but when fire reached the attic it took off.

Strasburg firefighters received aid from the fire departments of Byers, Bennett, and Sable-Altura, as well as equipment from Buckley Air Force Base's fire department. 34 firefighters were on the ground during the fight.

Shortly after 5 p.m., Strasburg Fire let the public know that the house was a loss as they finished putting out hot spots.

Officials are still investigating the cause of the fire but say it does not look suspicious.
