Hit & Run In Southwest Denver Leaves Pedestrian Dead

DENVER (CBS4) - Police are searching for the driver responsible for a hit and run in Denver that left a pedestrian dead.

The crime happened Saturday night near the intersection of West Warren Avenue and South Clay Street.

Authorities said they received a report of a man in a street but when they arrived they found no vehicle.

"We don't have any vehicle description and no witnesses so far," said Denver police spokesman Joseph Sartain. "We don't know what actually happened. Right now we're continuing to look for witnesses."

Police said they are asking anyone who might have more information about the case to contact them.
