Hit & Run: Police Search For Driver After Pedestrian Critically Injured

DENVER (CBS4) - Denver police are looking for a driver involved in a hit-and-run on Wednesday morning. The victim, an adult woman, was in critical condition.

Police say a car hit a woman, who was crossing against the light, at Evans Avenue and Holly Street and she was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.

Surveillance video shows the suspect getting out of her car and checking on the victim, then getting back in her car.

Investigators believe the car -- a silver or tan 2000s Pontiac Grand Am -- possibly has front end damage on the passenger side.

Officers say a woman was driving and last seen going westbound on Evans. She is described as a darker-skinned female.

Anyone who sees the car or who has more information about the crime is asked to call police.
